You will join our Environment department
As our new Senior EIA Consultant you will be part of a dynamic team in Edinburgh. Trusted by clients to manage their most challenging environmental, health and social issues. We are an established and growing EIA team who are winning and delivering of a range of projects both in the UK and internationally. Based in the historic city of Edinburgh, our modern offices are located a short walk from Edinburgh Waverley station, and is overlooked by Edinburgh Castle. Ramboll operates a flexible working policy, and with this you will be part of an exciting team of experts, who respects each other and works towards a common goal.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Desk based environmental baseline data collection and interpretation
- Site inspections
- Report writing and preparation of figures, including drafting and/or reviewing Impact Assessment chapters
- Client and project team liaison
- Attendance at stakeholder meetings and public consultations
- Coordination, management and preparation of EIA Reports
- Coaching/ mentoring junior staff

- Appropriate degree in environmental sciences, environmental engineering or a related environmental discipline
- Master’s degree in an environmental discipline (advantageous)
- Full clean driving licence
- Prior EIA project management experience on complex projects
Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:
Competent and efficient report writing skills. Ability to work successfully with various sub-consultants in the delivery of a consistent EIA approach and reporting style. Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written. Well organised and able to prioritise their own workload with minimal supervision. experience using GIS software for figure production would be beneficial.
